A fantasy ball is a combination of classic balls mixed with love for fantasy related media, which creates a creative safe space where people can be their unique self.
If you have seen or read about fantastic balls in fantasy shows, movies and/or books, you might have wished you could attend such events yourself. Here you can!
The ball will take place in a beautiful venue, where you can enjoy elegant bites, canapés, drinks throughout the evening. Music is also at the heart of the experience so you will be immersed in a carefully curated mix of classical songs, modern pop songs, iconic booktok favorites, and soundtracks of your favourite movies, tv shows and games.
You do not need a partner or a group to attend. Our fantasy Balls are designed so you can come on your own and immediately feel included! Many other guests also arrive solo and you can quickly connect with others who share the same passions!
For those who want to dive even deeper into the experience, there are always workshops throughout the event. For example, you can learn beginner friendly dances, try out other creative activities or explore new skills. No prior experience is needed at all. Whether you’ve never danced before or already love it, experienced dancers and instructors will guide you, help you feel confident, gladly give you tips on how to stun in your very own ballroom moment and show you how to truly shine on the dance floor.
In the meantime, there are photographers and videographers to capture you in your most beautiful outfits while you mingle with people who might become your new friends for life.
Our passion lies in creating a unique and enchanting experience for our guests, where new connections form, and you can be who you are.
The dress code is anything and everything Fantasy! Think magical, whimsical, ethereal, dramatic, whatever a little extra means to you. Put your own unique spin to it, it's entirely up to you! Anything and everything formal with an overall fantasy aesthetic is perfect! Think gowns, robes, suits, armor, wings, capes, crowns, accessories and more!
Clothing and garments from your culture and heritage is also absolutely allowed, welcomed and appreciated.
We strive for diversity every way you look and welcome people of colour from all walks of life.
Don't feel pressured to wear things you don't want to wear or aren't comfortable with. Your comfort always comes first.
Clothing isn't gendered and this is a safe space for everyone.

Don't be afraid to go on your own! You're not the only one. Many other guests who went to our previous events also went solo! Plus you'll have plenty of time to mingle and meet new people with the same interests and hobbies as you during our Fantasy Ball.
We also have a Discord where you can meet other fantasy ball goers beforehand!
You can leave your stuff at the free wardrobe! There are no lockers available.
Yes, we will have a cast of actors present who will be in character and who can interact with you. If you at any point feel uncomfortable or don't want to be a part of theatrical moments, feel free to say so to any of our actors!
Props are allowed if they're blunt, made from soft materials, non-metallic, and comply with the Dutch Weapons and Ammunition Act (WWM). Please check our Terms and Conditions for more information.
Security may inspect props upon entry. Any prop that does not meet these requirements may be confiscated or denied entry to the venue.
Because alcohol will be served, the Fantasy Ball will be 18+. Every attendee should be 18 years or older on the date of the event. Don't forget to bring your ID!
We are aware of quite a few people that are underage and people that are just shy of being 18 when our event will take place. Rest assured, we have more events planned for the future! We are also looking into events and options where no alcohol will be served.
The venue of the Forgotten Empires Fantasy Ball is wheelchair accessible. Please note that the castle gardens have gravel paths and grass surfaces, which may be more difficult to navigate with a wheelchair.
Tickets to our events are not refundable. If you transfer a ticket to someone else, please let us know beforehand so we can take into account important information like allergies and dietary wishes. Read up on the specific conditions regarding tickets and cancellation/reschedule of the event in our Terms and Conditions.
Drugs of any kind are strictly prohibited, regardless of whether they are soft or hard drugs. In the event of medication use, we request you to inform us in advance, so that we can inform the staff on site. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited. You may smoke and/or vape outside, but we ask that you freshen up and remove any remaining odors so as not to trigger allergic reactions in other guests.
The moment you click on the '+' a Ticket, Workshop or Add-on will be added to your basket. These will be reserved in your basket for 12 minutes so you can fill in your information without having to worry about them being taken by someone else. This way you can take your time filling in important information like allergies.
It all comes down to who reserves their Tickets, Workshops or Add-ons the fastest once the ticket sale opens. They can become available again if someone else doesn't complete their order in time!
The Court of Wonder is the new banner under which we will host our smaller, more affordable events. These gatherings are separate from our Fantasy Balls, so you do not need a Fantasy Ball ticket to attend a Court of Wonder Event!
